We are looking for an experienced and qualified candidate.
This is a Full-time role.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Programme and execute menu items focusing on authentic North and South Indian cuisineSupervise kitchen staff and maintain high-quality food preparation standardsEnsure proper storage and handling of ingredients and spicesMonitor food costs and stock managementMaintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standardsTrain and mentor junior kitchen staffCollaborate with management on menu development and specialitiesQUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalentMinimum one year's relevant experience or 3 years full time relevant experience if not qualification.Proven knowledge of food safety and Work Health and Safety LegislationPractices a hands-on, active management approach, directly involved in kitchen operations.Possesses extensive expertise and skills in all areas of a commercial kitchen environment.Able to foster a cohesive, positive team culture and lead the kitchen staff by demonstrating desired behaviours.Leads from the front, setting an example through own actions and work ethic for others to follow.Job Type: Permanent Full-timeSalary: Chef: $73,000 - $80,000 per annum (plus Superannuation)Summary of role requirements:Flexible hours available1 year of relevant work experience required for this roleWorking rights required for this roleExpected salary: $73,000 - $80,000 per annum
