Our adventures capture the very essence of Australia, from the rugged red cliffs of the Kimberley to the unspoiled natural wonder of Tasmania, we bring iconic experiences to life.
ABOUT THE ROLE: We are currently seeking experienced Fishing Guides to join our team at the iconic Seven Spirit Bay and Barramundi Lodges in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory. Our Lodges are world-class, maintaining exceptional standards in every aspect of the business.
As a Fishing Guide, you will be responsible for leading guided fishing tours and creating an exceptional experience for our guests, ensuring their visit is memorable and exciting.
While we are passionate about fishing, this role is focused on providing top-tier service, guiding our guests on their fishing adventures, and sharing your expertise and knowledge of the region. We're looking for individuals who prioritise the guest experience over personal fishing goals and are dedicated to delivering the best possible tours.
Full-time and casual positions are available for start dates in February. Our season runs from February to November with the majority of Fishing Tours operating in the Wet Season. Key Responsibilities: Greet guests on arrival, make them feel welcome, and introduce them to the adventure ahead.Lead engaging and educational fishing tours for guests of all abilities, including experienced repeat customers, corporate groups, high-end clientele, and beginners.Share expert tips and insights on blue water and estuary fishing, while educating guests about local wildlife, fishing conditions, and the unique beauty of Arnhem Land.Ensure guest safety throughout the experience, demonstrating correct use of fishing gear and explaining essential fishing techniques. Respond to emergencies and provide first aid if required.Set up and maintain fishing equipment, ensuring all gear is safe, functional, and well-maintained. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the vessels.Assist with lodge-related tasks, including grounds maintenance and operational needs when no fishing tours are scheduled.Accommodation and meals are provided on site. Travel compensation from Darwin is included. ABOUT YOU:
As a Fishing Guide, your goal is to create lasting memories for our guests. You are passionate about fishing and excited to share your expertise in one of the most unique fishing locations in Australia. The ideal candidate will be:
Proficient in blue water and estuary fishing, with a solid understanding of NT tidal movements and local fishing conditions.A natural communicator, dedicated to providing exceptional service and ensuring guests have an unforgettable experience.Attentive to safety, with the ability to make quick decisions and take necessary action in emergency situations.Willing to pitch in when needed and assist with lodge operations to ensure everything runs smoothly.Have demonstrated experience in reversing trailers and launching boats with precision and efficiency.You MUST hold the below licences: Coxswains ticket.Approved NT Operators Licence.Remote First Aid Certificate.Manual Drivers Licence.A National Criminal History Check is a mandatory step in the recruitment process.
