Rotating roster which will include weekend work and starts from 7am or finishing as late as 10pm.
Full Time position - 38 hours weekly.
Daily tasks and responsibilities: Checks cake order stand for special orders.
Pulls stock from freezer or cooler to fill merchandising area.
De-pans, garnishes and packages baked cheesecakes, seasonal pies and fruit tarts.
Places finished product on racks and transfers racks to cooler, freezer or wrapping area.
Checks production schedule for daily needs.
Processes all cakes following assembly instruction in Cake Decorating Manual.
Assists with other bakery duties as needed.
Provides prompt and courteous member service.
Keeps decorating area clean and clear of debris.
Follows safety and security procedures.
Follows SSOP guidelines as it refers to proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this position.
Completes and complies with 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety certification and all safety training required by warehouse and department.
Comparable Cake Decorating experience is required.
Piping skills highly regarded.
All decoration is done by soft creams - no fondant or sculpting required.
Cleans Bakery area by sweeping, mopping, spraying, wiping, scrubbing, low-pressure washing.
Empties drain screens, empties trash.
Operates trash compactor and cardboard baler.
Handling Chemicals and applying safety measures when working within the warehouse.
Repetitive heavy lifting and manual handling.
This position is ideal for persons who possess strong adaptive skills, manual handling training, great time management, and motivation in completing tasks.
Applicants will be required to conduct a manual handling assessment 20kg.
Applicants will be required to conduct a skills assessment to ensure competency in tasks.
Non-Essential Functions and Tasks: Assists with front end duties as necessary.
Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
