GAF Accounting is seeking a dedicated full-time Accountant to join our professional team. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality accounting services across diverse industries. Key Responsibilities: Prepare high-quality financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for a wide range of clients, ensuring all documents comply with statutory and regulatory standards. Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements, GST, and other statutory returns for clients. Provide tailored tax advice to help clients maximise their financial position while ensuring full compliance. Perform reconciliation of client accounts, including bank, credit card, and ledger reconciliations, and investigate any discrepancies in financial records. Assist clients with preparing budgets and financial forecasts, providing detailed variance analyses to help with financial planning and cash flow management. Maintain records of financial transactions and general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy in all financial documentation. Serve as a trusted advisor for clients by providing them with financial analysis, business insights, and recommendations to support their strategic decision-making and financial growth. Assist clients in preparing for external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and addressing audit queries to ensure a seamless audit process. Work with clients to identify inefficiencies in their financial processes and recommend improvements to streamline their accounting practices. Assist clients in implementing and optimising accounting software (such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks), ensuring efficient and compliant use of technology. Build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and delivering personalised financial solutions. Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide clients with data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making. Skills and Qualifications Requirements: Minimum of 3 years relevant accounting experience (commercial business experience preferred). Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or a related field. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to build strong relationships and provide personalised services to clients. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
