Your role is to oversee the testing and inspection and ensure compliance. We seek an experienced Quality Assurance Manager in a full-time role to plan, organize, direct, control, and coordinate the implementation of quality systems and inspection procedures across the company. Your primary duties will be ensuring that QA is conducted safely and promptly and that your team is producing outstanding results.BenefitsSuperannuation payCompetitive salaryClose to public transportFamily Owned Australian Business – Work with the OwnersOpportunities to grow and develop internally within the companyPaid time offFriendly and collaborative work environmentTask & ResponsibilitiesAnalyse quality data, including customer feedback, sales, and product performance metrics to identify trends and issuesDevelop, implement, and manage the company's quality assurance strategies, policies, and processes to ensure top-tier product qualityLead the team by inspecting fruits and vegetables to ensure they meet specifications for size, appearance, taste, and shelf life.Oversee the receipt and scanning of goods ensuring they match purchase orders and are free from damage including produce inspection and documentationSupervise storage and distribution of products, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP, SQF and other relevant quality standardsConduct regular checks, reviews and update documentations as per Australian Regulations and StandardDevelop and implement quality management system for efficient business operationMeticulous picking and packing orders while monitoring shipments for prompt dispatchCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.Collaborate with suppliers to ensure products meet established standardsTrain and mentor staff on quality assurance protocols and best practicesFoster a collaborative and motivated environment through training sessions and a mentorship programDevelop actionable reports that informed strategic decision-making and reduced product defectsDevelop robust processes to ensure produce is delivered on time, of the desired quality, and in a safe mannerManage produce recalls and withdrawals and conduct traceability procedures during produce callConduct inventory assessment and execute management practicesQualification & ExperienceTertiary qualifications, preferably a bachelor's degreeIdeally 2 years of working experience in a QA manager's role within the fresh produce or food manufacturing industryHighly organised & attention to detailGood interpersonal and influencing skills, with excellent verbal and report-writing skillsExcellent organizational, planning, and time-management skillsProficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Strong understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP principles and best practicesHave strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address quality issues proactivelyShift timing will be 10 pm to 6 am Monday to FridayAbout CompanyM & B Moses Investments Pty ltd t/a Murphy's Produce is a family-owned business established more than 30 years ago; we are passionate about crafting high-quality fresh produce.
