A prominent player in Australia's blockchain sector is on the lookout for a proficient and dedicated API and DevOps Engineer to bolster its team. This position holds significant importance in upholding the integrity of the network and ensuring the smooth functioning of the blockchain infrastructure. The API system plays a crucial role in enabling seamless interaction between external partners and Pier Two's Validation and Staking services.Key Responsibilities:Spearheading the development of APIs including enhancing and optimizing the existing API solution and guiding its future development.Collaborating on API integrations with external entities to streamline the integration process.Documenting technical procedures, creating integration guides, and maintaining accurate records of API configurations and changes.Facilitating communication and troubleshooting API-related issues with external partners.Identifying and resolving network and system issues promptly to minimize downtime.Contributing to the deployment and integration of new technologies and updates into the existing infrastructure beyond API responsibilities.Requirements:Strong API Development Skills:Proficiency in NodeJS, TypeScript, NestJS, and React.Experience in building RESTful APIs with NestJS and developing microservices and serverless functions with Competence in using MongoDB and Swagger for tooling and documentation.Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas for cloud-hosted databases.Backend Services:Proficiency in , NestJS, or similar frameworks for building APIs.Experience with data access layers (e.g., Mongoose, TypeORM) and data validation libraries.Frontend Development:Strong knowledge of React and React Hooks for building user interfaces.Familiarity with state management libraries like Redux or React Context API.Database Management:Proficiency in working with MongoDB and relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and database management best practices.Cloud Proficiency:Experience deploying and managing APIs on cloud platforms, primarily GCP.Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.Authentication and Security:Implementation expertise in OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT for secure authentication.Caching Techniques and Performance Optimization:Knowledge of caching strategies and API performance optimization techniques.Monitoring and Alerting:Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or cloud-native monitoring services.API Gateway and Active Directory Management:Configuration and management of API Gateways like AWS API Gateway or Azure API Management.Release Management:Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and release management tools like GitLab pipelines, GitHub Actions, etc.Role Requirements:Based in Australia or compatible time zones (Singapore, New Zealand, Hong Kong).Strong English communication skills.Management experience and effective communication skills.Nice to Haves:Experience with Linux systems, including filesystem, networking, kernel tuning, iptables, patching.Network management and troubleshooting experience.Familiarity with Docker, Ansible, and Terraform.Understanding of Blockchain concepts and Blockchain Infrastructure, particularly Validators and RPC Nodes.Top of FormBottom of Form#J-18808-Ljbffr
