Are you up for creating solutions and solving tomorrow's problems today?We're seeking an experienced Site Manager to join and lead our Customer Fulfillment Operations team for our brand new site in Horsley Park.As a Site Manager, you'll deliver inspiring, supportive leadership for the teams you manage.
You'll be directly responsible for managing a team of Operations Managers and their direct reports.
The quality of your leadership is key to success in this role: you'll motivate and inspire your teams to do their best work while planning schedules and activities that balance their needs with that of the business.Another key aspect of your role will be to lead on numerous process improvement projects, with the aim of streamlining all activities, both for yourself and the team members you manage.
Your role will be pivotal in the overall management, control, organisation, and direction for both the Outbound or Inbound operational areas of your FC.ResponsibilitiesMaintain Health and Safety standards within your remit area, promoting an inspiring Health and Safety culture on-site.Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.Become a subject matter expert on specific, larger-scale processes and activities within FCs, such as 5S audits.Manage timely data collection and update operations metrics on an hourly basis in your inventory control and systems environment.Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Lean initiatives to enable their functional area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed business plan.Aim to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and ensure an excellent customer experience.Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers.
Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Ops Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments.Work closely with other support teams (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and Security, IT) on staffing plans, schedules, and performance levels.Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and among the network.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSPrevious experience in a similar, innovative logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environment.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.Previous experience in leading large, diverse teams.Experience in employee and performance management.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to manage details, establish and carry out root cause analysis, and extract and analyse data.Willingness to thrive on change and relocate if necessary.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSStrong operational experience in a fast-growing company/industry.Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies is highly advantageous.Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons.Proven record of delivering change management initiatives.Posted: January 7, 2025 (Updated 22 minutes ago)
