Discover Your Next Role As a Fugal Operator at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you will be working as part of our sugar production team, where you'll transform raw ingredients into high-quality sugar. This position will be based in North Queensland's Herbert region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community.
Your Role in Action Produce Raw Sugar and C seed/magma that consistently satisfies customer expectations with respect to technical and quality specifications. Produce quality sugar in such a manner so as not to cause delays to pan stage operations. Sample, inspect and perform basic analysis on sugar and molasses streams, and maintain up-to-date records. Separate sugar from molasses with minimal losses of sugar into the molasses stream. Remelt C sugar in excess of the pan stage requirements. Monitor liquor/magma/massecuite stocks and inform the pan stage operators when levels are abnormal. Regular inspection of plant, equipment and completion of maintenance requests. Completion of log books, charts and any other data collection required by management. Work in conjunction and communicate effectively with the Operations Coordinator, Pan Boilers and Shift Team. Maintain high levels of housekeeping around the fugal station. Your Winning Combination Our ideal candidate will have confined space entry, working safely at heights certificates and a can-do attitude. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure will be critical for this role.
