About the opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our Finance Shared Services team located in Adelaide. Reporting to the Head of Finance Shared Services, the primary responsibility of this role is to manage particular Group Businesses for the Woolworths Group and provide business partner support for various business units within the Group.
What you'll do
Ensuring results are prepared in a timely manner with useful and effective insights;
Providing GL account reconciliations for the relevant Balance Sheet accounts, complete with commentary, risk assessment and in line with the Guidance note;
Assisting with the delivery of half/full year results with supporting notes;
Driving innovation and continuous improvement in key financial reporting processes;
Leading and motivating an effective service team (up to 40 team members);
Striving to build and maintain an outstanding working relationship with your key business partners.
What you'll bring
Driving change, leading innovation and partnering closely with your customers;
Strong experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. Excel, Google Suite, SAP;
Able to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience;
Ability to synthesise large amounts of data from various sources;
Finance-related degree with CA or CPA qualification.
