THE COMPANY FSM is a well established Australian owned National Company that has been importing and distributing world class specialised and innovative food service equipment since 1976.
We regularly introduce new technologies to market, over the years and continue that tradition with a proactive management team and sales professionals.
FSM has grown exponentially over the last few years to the point where we now operate in five states, provide technical service and sales support Australia-wide and have manufacturing facilities (under licence) in two states. The position of Business Development Manager has become available to join our Queensland based sales team.
POSITION Do you want to start a career in sales and have a background in the catering industry? We would love to hear from you and nurture your talent! We are looking for a bright star to join the team and learn from some of the best.
This role will require a dynamic person with strong self management skills, an enthusiastic and proactive approach to establishing and maintaining strong relationships with dealers and end users alike, whilst also generating increased sales through our established retail sellers by regular calls and follow up.
The ideal candidate will take on the responsibility of acquiring a thorough knowledge of our products through formal and informal training and must be able to demonstrate key benefits to prospective clients and dealers, and have strong negotiating skills. The market segments we operate in are diverse, as is our product line up, and it is expected that the successful candidate contributes more than a 9-5 effort, for which the rewards can be substantial in the longer term.
The position offers a great opportunity for a person with prospecting and follow up skills that can promote the FSM Company brand and the premium brands we represent in Australia. On offer is a base salary, commission and vehicle allowance, and company mobile as part of the overall remuneration package which will be discussed during the interview process. The position is from our Brisbane office.
CANDIDATE The candidate should have experience in the catering industry.
Sound computer skills are important, excellent communication skills, ability to grasp technical knowledge and most importantly a desire to achieve and grow with the role.
We require a dynamic, motivated, autonomous self-starter with strong time management skills, as this is a career opportunity. You will be judged and rewarded by your sales performance.
