Fruit & Vegetable Pickers

This is seasonal work, and we need workers to be available to work the season from 24th February 2025 to 20th November 2025.
Wages are Piece Rate and Hourly under the Horticulture Award [MA000028].

Workers are expected to stay from the beginning to the end of the dates listed.
Please do not apply if you cannot work the dates listed.
Workers should be already situated in or around Bowen as we will not hold spots due to risk of crops spoiling.

Workers are required to work 6hrs Monday to Friday from 7am-2pm outside; however, hours and days worked, which may include weekends, are dependent on crops and weather.

You must be able to walk/stand and bend over to pick Tomatoes and Zucchinis for long periods and lift heavy buckets that can weigh between 5-13kgs.
Work will include Farmhand duties as well, and all PPE required for certain job tasks will be supplied by the Employer.

The ability to work outside under different weather conditions (very hot/very cold/very wet) is a must, but only if conditions are safe to do so.
You will be required to wear long sleeve shirts/pants, hats, and sunscreen for protection.
Sunscreen will always be made available by the Employer.

Health plans/guides will be in place once employment is confirmed and must be followed to keep our workplace and community safe from the transmission of COVID-19.
