Fruit & Vegetable Pickers

Fruit and Vegetable Pickers wanted for Tomato and Zucchini Farm in Bowen, North Queensland. This is seasonal work, and we need workers to be available to start around the 15th July 2024 until 23rd December 2024. Wages are Piece Rate and Hourly under the Horticulture Award (MA000028).
Workers are expected to stay from the beginning to the end of the dates listed. Please do not apply if you cannot work the dates listed. Workers should be already situated in or around Bowen as we will not hold spots due to risk of crops spoiling.
Workers are required to work 6hrs Monday to Friday from 7am-2pm outside, however, hours and days worked which may include weekends are dependent on crops and weather.
You must be able to walk/stand and bend over to pick Tomatoes and Zucchinis for long periods and lift heavy buckets that can weigh between 5-13kgs. Work will include Farmhand duties as well and all PPE if required for certain jobs tasks will be supplied by Employer. The ability to work outside under different weather conditions (very hot/very cold/very wet) is a must but only if conditions are safe to do so. You will be required to wear long sleeve shirts/pants, hats, and sunscreen for protection. Sunscreen will be always made available by Employer. Health plans/guides will be in place once employment is confirmed and must be followed to keep our workplace and community safe from the transmission of COVID-19.
