Job Description: HEAD CHEF (ANZSCO 351311 CHEF) The Head Chef is a full-time, permanent role responsible for ensuring that the standard and quality of the food production and the hygiene within the department is maintained at the highest level at all times. This role is very much hands-on, requiring attention to detail and a positive work attitude as the Head Chef will be in charge of a large team and a busy kitchen in a bustling venue open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.

Froth Craft Brewery; the Nor'West's premiere microbrewery has expanded, is charging through its seventh year in record numbers, and we need a hospitality superstar to take the reigns of the busy kitchen!
Froth Craft Brewery is an approved sponsor and the popular venue has quickly become an institution in Exmouth, gaining notoriety in the W.A. hospitality industry for consistently excellent guest experiences. Our Head Chef is approaching the end of his tenure and is seeking a true professional to hand over the baton to! Froth has set an extremely high standard for high quality food and beverage experiences and now we are searching for a new creative leader to take on the role of Head Chef and continue to guide this progressive venue on to further success.
The food style is Modern Australian with influences from around the globe, share plates and varietal dishes well suited to our northern climate with menus changing seasonally. The service is fast paced and the atmosphere matching.
Froth is an eclectic mix of professional staff hungry to provide a memorable hospitality experience on the Ningaloo. Paired with the hospitable service for all our guests is the well-received lines of beer crafted by our brewer/owner, in our microbrewery on site. Matched with super fresh fare this has become the place to get a swill of brew for the mind, a tasty meal for the body and tantalising tunes live from the Stout Stage to soothe the soul.
We have built a great rapport with suppliers and our operational procedures fine tuned. The harmonious kitchen vibe is rolling and we need someone who can take it to the next level!

We are seeking long term commitment for someone who would desire to make Exmouth their home (at least during their tenure as Head Chef), along with making the Froth kitchen their own.

The successful applicant will require:
Skills in preparing different variety of cuisine Creativity and high presentation standards Ability to create dishes with consistency Skilled in preparing, seasoning, and cooking food according to recipes Understanding of food safety and OHS requirements Train and manage cooks and kitchen staff Achieving all safety, hygiene and food quality As a Chef you should be able to manage daily kitchen operations including ordering. To be considered for the position you must possess the following:
At least 2 years' experience in a similar role Relevant qualifications Cert III or IV in commercial cookery Ability to excel in a high-volume, high-pressure environment Proactive, energetic and shares a passion for the hospitality industry Possess effective communication skills with an approachable manner To be equipped for the challenging yet rewarding Head Chef role, you need to;
Have proven extensive experience in a similar role (breweries prioritised); we need someone who can consistently hit the financial and culinary targets in which the role requires. Have the right attitude within the role; being able to converse with all staff and guests in a positive and proactive manner. ~~~~~
Duties and responsibilities: Control and direct the food preparation process and other related activities Construct seasonal menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety, consistency and high quality of the servings Ensure dishes are being presented optimally before they leave the Pass Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages Arrange for repairs when necessary Remedy any problems or defects Oversee recruitment, managing and training of kitchen staff Oversee the work of subordinates and liaise with Senior Management Liaise regularly with directors and front-of-house management Estimate staff's workload and compensations Forecast and control kitchen staff wages; manage rostering on the Deputy App Maintain the current HACCAP and cleaning schedules, managing the data base as required by council law Maintain a safe work environment for all staff and minimise potential hazards Foster a supportive climate of co-operation and respect between co-workers ~~~~~
