What you'll do as Frontend Software EngineerOur Product Engineering team works on both externally facing features and internal tooling for our Customer department. We are currently embarking on a component library journey, and are looking for a frontend leaning engineer to join us in building accessible, scalable, and beautiful UI components. Experience working in the Ruby on Rails stack viewed very favourably.
The package$133,000 + super and benefits, read more belowFully remote, flexible 32 hour weekRDO Wednesday or Friday, core team hours 10:00-15:00 Melbourne time Mon/Tue/ThursAs a Frontend Software Engineer within our team, you'll…Build & maintain high quality software featuresContribute a consistent stream of frontend-focused software changes to production, building significant portions of features & projects;Follow best practices and coding standards, including automated test coverage, documentation, and any applicable internal architecture guidance;Work with the stack around your speciality to integrate your changes, as well as contribute bug fixes & smaller scale changes;Maintain & improve our privacy & security, accessibility, and performance standards.Build a healthy team culture & system of workContribute to architectural design decisions;Make informed decisions about what to work on at any given time, and clearly communicate your work focus to the team and leadership;Report privacy breaches, however small, to leadership immediately when they occur;You don't need to necessarily be proficient in this entire stack, there will be room to learn, but experience will be favoured.
