The Role: We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the crew at MagicBrief.
The perfect fit: a bit of a typescript and react wizard, someone who sweats the small stuff and cares about accessibility, design, legibility, responsiveness and web standards. You want to work on a product that is thoughtfully designed and loved by customers who use it every single day. You want autonomy and to work in a high-octane team that ships releases multiple times a day to customers on every continent outside of Antarctica (we're working on remedying that).
One of the most common pieces of feedback we hear from our users is "the product feels so good to use" and we're not looking at letting that change anytime soon. We care deeply about the product we're building, as it's our way of showing our users that we care about the work that they do. We ship fast, but we hold a quality bar for everything that we deliver.
This is a greenfield opportunity with immense impact, you'll work directly with our founders to shape a product that thousands of people use to do their best work. If the idea of this excites you, we would absolutely love to hear from you.
The Details: Frontend is Tailwind, Typescript & tRPC, extremely good battle tested kit that's helped us deliver high quality code at a rapid pace.
Backend is Node, Redis and Postgres. Easy to understand and scale technology stack.
Local first dev, you can run our whole stack locally (including our Chrome extension), with one command. No more waiting for long CI runs, or deploys to catch bugs, allowing you to build fast with confidence.
Fantastic design, work with George the Founder, directly who is a Figma wizard and help bring beautiful software to life.
Work with our very small, but terrifyingly competent existing technical team to deliver fantastic looking and feeling software (You'd be eng hire number 3).
Autonomy to cook and deliver, we'll work collaboratively on designs and solutioning but implementation is up to you. No more 2 hour meetings about button colours; we work and ship quick, if it doesn't work, ship again.
