As the first and last contact for our patients and referring health care professionals, our receptionists play a vital role in ensuring our patients feel welcome, comfortable and supported before, during and after each visit with our team.
Our reception team duties include
Welcoming patients and visitors to the practice.
Managing face-to-face, telephone and email enquiries.
Scheduling consultations and treatment appointments.
Treatment plan presentation and coordination of treatment with external health care professionals.
Diary management for 7 periodontists and 2 hygienists.
Processing payments, private health and third party claims.
General Administration
Providing administrative support to our practitioners, patients, referring health care professionals, management and your colleagues.
Maintaining and updating patient records as required.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Experience working as a receptionist or administrator within a fast past dental, medical or customer service environment.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and willing to take ownership and responsibility for own actions.
High level of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced, working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
