Skills & experience:
A diploma or at least 3 years relevant experience as a Duty Manager or Front Office Manager in a Hotel environment
Strong knowledge of Hotel operations a must.
OPERA PMS knowledge
Able to lead a team with a hands on approach to problem solving
Excellent communication skills
Immaculate presentation and passionate customer service advocate
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Lead the front office team to deliver personalised and memorable guest experiences.
Oversee the check-in and check-out process, ensuring efficiency and attention to detail.
Handle VIP arrivals and ensure special touches (e.g., welcome gifts or personalised greetings).
Manage guest feedback, reviews, and complaints to maintain high satisfaction levels and uphold the hotel's reputation.
Anticipate guest needs, particularly for leisure travellers, by curating recommendations and services.
Supervise daily front desk activities, ensuring accuracy in room allocations and billing processes.
Oversee cash handling, credit card authorisations, and daily reconciliations.
Maintain a well-organised and visually appealing front desk area aligned with branding.
Recruit, train, and mentor front office staff to embody the hotel's identity.
Develop and conduct training programs on guest interaction, upselling techniques, and system usage.
Prepare staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage while controlling labour costs.
Promote teamwork and collaboration between the front office and other departments.
Monitor the upselling of rooms, packages, and leisure activities to boost profitability.
Ensure accuracy of reservations, including group bookings and special leisure packages.
Oversee daily reporting on occupancy, revenue, and forecasts.
Manage the Property Management System (PMS), ensuring data integrity and staff proficiency.
Troubleshoot front office-related technical issues and coordinate with IT for timely resolutions.
Leverage guest feedback systems and online reviews to track and enhance service quality.
Ensure all front office interactions reflect the hotel's atmosphere.
Maintain curated displays, brochures, or promotional materials aligned with the hotel's leisure-focused branding.
Collaborate with marketing to enhance the front office's boutique ambience.
Act as the first point of contact for escalated guest concerns and emergency situations.
Manage operational disruptions, such as overbookings or late arrivals, with tact and professionalism.
Conduct regular reviews of front desk safety procedures and guest incident reports.
