The Front Office Control Clerk is an instrumental role in the Front Office department.
They manage the daily operations of the hotel's room inventory, focusing on ensuring that all guests' room requirements are met, optimizing room allocations based on guests' preferences and status, and managing room lists for large groups and events.
The Front Office Control Clerk directly monitors the hotel's room occupancy, making adjustments and maximizing room usage, revenue, and upsell opportunities.
Assists with the daily operations of the Front Office, including but not limited to:
Checking in guestsChecking out guestsMonitoring the guest's messaging systemWorking with the guest's requests through the Hyatt's systemProcessing financial reports, group and individual billingTraining new members of the team and organizing re-training sessions for the staffReviewing and responding to related guest's emailsCoordinating and working together with the engineering department on the room maintenance programResolving room conflicts and guest issues related to room assignmentsProviding the Front Office with accurate and timely information regarding room availabilityWorking closely with the housekeeping and engineering department to ensure the rooms are in optimal condition for guestsAttending meetings and providing information to the teamWorking closely with Revenue Management and Sales and Events areas
