About the role:
Join our dynamic and inclusive team at Summerland Farm as a Front of House Supervisor in the Restaurant, where you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional restaurant service while fostering a supportive work environment for individuals with disabilities.

In this pivotal role, you'll oversee front-of-house operations and lead a team of 25-30 staff members.
You will support the Retail and Tourism Coordinator by managing all aspects of restaurant service, including coordinating food delivery, executing functions and events, and working closely with the Head Chef to ensure top-notch food quality and customer service.
Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining our restaurant's reputation for excellence and driving growth within our retail and tourism portfolio.

We are looking for a confident and experienced leader in the hospitality industry.
You will use your expertise to guide and inspire your team, oversee training and development, handle ordering and stocktakes, recruit and roster casual staff, update POS systems, and manage employee wages and communications.
Your role will be essential in delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes and exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the creation of a fun and positive workplace culture, that respects and supports people with disabilities, flexibly and sensitively, to make Summerland Farm and Aruma an Employer of Choice for people with disabilities Effectively led, inspire, and develop a diverse team to achieve business outcomes in conjunction with the kitchen and front of house.
Create a professional and pleasant dining experience for customers, ensuring meals are delivered to the customer table efficiently, and with professional courtesy.
Collaborate with Head Chef, Functions Team & FOH Team Leaders to ensure efficient daily operations, including ordering front of house stock, preparation prior to service, set up and pack down, prep & set up of weekly functions and events Role model and monitor standards for food safety, quality and hygiene practices and procedures.
Led and coach front of house staff and employees to instil a positive team culture that facilitates cooperation and collaboration, reflecting our values, and producing effective team results Receive excellent customer feedback on the quality of food and restaurant services that promote our business service and maintain our reputation as an excellent tourism and retail provider.

About You:
Demonstrated experience in Front of House leadership & Supervision.
Experience leading a team of 20-30 employee's is desired.
Certificate III in Hospitality Effective problem solving and technical skills Sound organisational skills and ability to prioritise work of a team Demonstrated passion for quality food and beverage presentation Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, including adapting communication style to meet individual needs.
Brings a positive attitude consistent with Summerland Farm's ethos and Aruma's values, contributing to an engaging workplace culture celebrating diversity and continuous improvement.
Demonstrated understanding of food safety and WHS requirements A high level of physical fitness to meet the physical requirements of the position Flexibility to work a range of shifts including weekends and nights for events as per hospitality industry requirements.
A current Australian driver's license Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate Barista Certificate and/or equivalent experience Hold current or willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements (as per role and/or State).
