Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Advisor Senior Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Advisor Location: Brisbane, QLD (Hendra Office)

Freo Group Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated Senior Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Advisor to join our dynamic team in Brisbane. This role will be based at our Hendra office, with monthly site visits across QLD branches and sites.

Role Purpose As our Senior HSE Advisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring our operations' health, safety, and environmental compliance. You'll assist in fostering a zero-tolerance approach to unsafe practices while maintaining alignment with ISO45001/14001 standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities HSEQ Policies and Compliance: Promote adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies. Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with legislative and company standards. Mentorship and Advisory: Provide guidance to workforce, supervisors, and managers on HSE management. Deliver internal training on hazard identification and risk management. Utilise the Donesafe platform for incident reporting, hazard management, audits, and compliance tracking. Ensure timely closeout of actions and incidents within the system. Site Engagement: Conduct monthly site visits and inspections. Participate in toolbox and pre-start meetings. Lead or assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis. Client and Stakeholder Relations: Support clients and contractors to ensure compliance with HSE requirements. Attend client meetings and provide ongoing technical advice. Reporting and Continuous Improvement: Prepare and submit weekly HSE reports. Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and work instructions. What We're Looking For Qualifications in Health and Safety (Cert IV WHS or higher). Minimum 3 years experience in a safety role within construction or mining industries. Familiarity with high-risk work environments and transport industries. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Donesafe or similar OHS platforms. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Experience with cranes, rigging, or transport industries. TAPROOT or ICAM root cause analysis training.
