The Role
The business is looking for a Corporate Accountant who is technically proficient to drive month-end and year-end reporting processes, including external audits.
The role will also be focused on managing compliance and tax matters of all entities within the group on a timely basis.

Working within a collaborative finance team, this role will report to the General Manager Finance & Commercial, who works closely with the Managing Director.
The role will engage with all levels of the business to facilitate effective business reporting.
You will work closely with the decision makers and have direct input in formulating those decisions.

The role requires an individual who has a hands-on approach and a receptive attitude to learning and understanding the business.
This will enable them to communicate effectively with all levels of the business and drive efficient and effective reporting.

Responsibilities
Manage and drive the Group's financial monthly and yearly processes to prepare and present financial reporting within the allocated timeframes.
Management of yearly external audits.
Weekly cashflow reporting to the executive team.
Provide business performance reporting and variance analysis to the GM Finance and executive team.
Assist in the preparation of monthly board reporting.
Build productive working relationships with stakeholders with clear communication.
Collaborate, design, implement and review finance systems, policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement.
Responsible for the Group's statutory obligations (including Income Tax, FBT, BAS and Payroll Tax), with responsibility for preparation, reporting and lodgment.
Ensure finance ledgers are maintained on a timely basis, are accurate and complete, and structured for the dual purpose of providing relevant information to internal users and meeting statutory obligations.
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets for all company entities.
Undertake a range of other reasonable ad hoc activities within the Finance function, in conjunction with other Finance staff, who manage the day-to-day accounting and finance matters.
Skills and Experience

You will be a person with a great attitude towards personal and professional development and be a team player.

You must be able to demonstrate the following:
Tertiary qualifications with CA/CPA Accreditation.
5+ years' technical and commercial experience in financial management roles, especially in timely reporting and compliance, external audit management, taxation and cash flow management.
Ability to operate strategically with a knack to problem solve, support and understand challenges at the operational level.
Proven internal and external stakeholder relationship management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
ERP experience, preferably in MYOB.
Intermediate or advanced skills and experience in MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.)
and other office computing applications.
Desirable, although not necessary:
Agribusiness, Manufacturing or FMCG industry experience.
