Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Negotiate Freight Forwarder rates and contractual payment terms for all sea, air and land routes, domestic and international, ensuring freight rate tables are current at all times in relevant systems.Point of account escalations for import and export operations teams, also working closely with sales teams to deliver best-cost solutions.Partner management - Be the primary contact with transport providers, negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and address any issues promptly, based on compliance, cost, efficiency of service and suitability.Quality and continuous improvement - maintain a mindset of continuous improvement, bringing recommendations to management, and other internal forums, to improve efficiency and service delivery, leveraging data analytics for informed decision-making.About you: 3 years+ experience with freight management, contract negotiation, vendor management with proven analytical success.Experience in meat, dairy, FMCG industries highly desired.Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.Proficient with ERM systems and a willingness to improve efficiency - Microsoft Dynamics and/or BSM favourably.Must possess a continuous improvement, growth mindset, with proven performance in freight and logistics analysis.Strong commercial acumen with a key focus on relationships.This is a great opportunity to join a highly reputable organisation that does not present very often.
