Aurizon is currently seeking an experienced Operator to work out of our Acacia Ridge depot on a full-time basis. This role is suited for an individual experienced in operating lifting and vehicular equipment, who can display superior teamwork skills, flexibility, a high level of safety awareness, and excellent customer service.
About the role: Operate medium/heavy forklifts and reach stackers; provision, service, clean, and perform lower-level maintenance on rolling stock.Conduct serviceability checks on all machines.Operate and maintain heavy lifting equipment (exceeding 16 tonnes) and other sundry terminal and site equipment.About you: Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude.RS Class Driver's Licence (preferred).DG licence would be highly regarded but not essential (will be obtained during employment).Forklift and crane tickets.Strong commitment to safety and knowledge of rules and regulations in the operations area, workplace health & safety, and dangerous goods.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.A willingness to work day, afternoon, and night shifts (up to 12-hour shifts), including weekend work as required.What we offer you: At Aurizon, we support the development and growth of our employees.
