New Role- Portfolio Manager The principal objectives of this position are: Promote service level standards and advice all stake holders when exceptions are in place.
Maintain portfolio of clients, ensuring that they are serviced in all areas and that they feel valued.
Provide support / guidance to Portfolio Executives to assist in the maintenance and retention of clients.
Mine existing portfolio for additional opportunities.
Look at opportunities to improve margins via alternate service offerings.
Review product / service offering, trade lane / route development with a view to ensure that we remain competitive and that future sales are sustained.
Work closely with the Business development team to ensure that new business is being generated on a regular business.
Identify and escalate the issues Ensure that clear operating procedures (SOP) are set up, rates are updated and current so that there is consistency in our service delivery and pricing.
Ensure that clients receive their statement of accounts in a timely manner.
About the candidate Min 5 years experience in international Freight Forwarding including Import & Export Freight Operations Portfolio Manager experience Ability to translate strategy into action awareness of commercial implications of one's decisions, and work to produce value and profit or cost savings from their activity Ability to value and celebrate differences, build rapport, form alliances and negotiate effectively Ability to approach problem solving logically, research options, avoid biases and focus on meaningful data to draw the right conclusions—even under pressure.
Accept accountability for achieving their goals.
Able to set stretching but realistic and achievable targets Ability to ensure that the client's interests are always looked after and are a priority Capability t appreciate and acknowledge team performance.
