Your new role- Customer Service Supervisor As a Customer Service Supervisor,you will oversee customer service operations to ensure the clients receive excellent service across all interactions.
This role is essential in maintaining smooth departmental functions, managing client relationships, and ensuring all service tasks are completed to the highest standards.
Your job duties & responsibilities as a Customer Service Supervisor include but are not limited to the following: Ensure all customer information is accurate and current, manage account credit statuses, and provide proactive updates on delivery schedules, shipment queries, and service requirements Collaborate with warehouse and operational staff to fulfil client requirements, resolving any service-related issues swiftly Develop and maintain client-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in alignment with organisational standards Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction Promote range of services, including import, export, and value-added offerings, to support business growth and strengthen client relationships.
What you will need to succeed Ideal candidate has experience in customer service within freight forwarding Proven people management skills, with the ability to coach and lead a team in a fast-paced logistics setting to achieve service goals and maintain high performance standards.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear, professional interactions with clients, carriers, and internal teams at all levels.
Excellent organizational abilities, with a talent for managing complex shipments, prioritizing effectively, and performing well under time-sensitive conditions.
Skilled in freight forwarding and customer management software, with preference for CargoWise experience, along with solid general computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Customer Service Supervisor experience Highly motivated with a proactive approach, focused on taking preventative actions to support customer retention.
Creative and adaptable, showing initiative and a readiness to thrive in a changing environment.
Collaborative working style, proactively keeping internal stakeholders and departments informed.
