What you will do as the Freedom of Information Officer
Assist with the processing of FOI requests as required.
Prepare correspondence and undertake research, including searching ACCC and legal databases.
Maintain and update the ACCC's FOI databases, including uploading, coding and exporting documents in Nuix Discover and file documents into iManage.
Liaise with ACCC managers and employees and external stakeholders in relation to FOI requests.
Assist with third party consultation and FOI decisions, including preparing documents.
Provide advice and guidance to FOI applicants, third parties and others in relation to FOI requests.
About you
In order to succeed in the role at the APS4 and APS5 level, you will have:
an organised approach to work including an ability to manage competing tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
self-motivation, attention to detail, accuracy and flexibility.
demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a small, high performing team.
proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
In addition, at the APS5 level you will have:
the ability to manage sensitive information and exercise sound judgement and discretion.
initiative and demonstrated ability to contribute to continuous improvement.
an awareness of the ACCC and its aims and functions and knowledge (or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge) of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 and its practical application.

Salary:
APS4: $77,691 - $84,353 (plus 15.4% superannuation)
APS5: $86,653 - $91,882 (plus 15.4% superannuation)
