Rabobank's Financial Economic Crime (FEC) domain exists to safeguard customers, the bank, & society by detecting & preventing financial & economic crime. The team has an opening based in Sydney or Wellington for a dynamic self-starter as Fraud & FEC Awareness, & Prevention Lead.
This is a hands-on role reporting to the Regional Head of Fraud & FEC Investigations where you will play a key role in raising the awareness of fraud & FEC risks both internally to staff & stakeholders & externally to our clients across Australia & New Zealand. Pivotal to your success will be the development of a communications strategy for fraud & scam awareness. The scope is general & broad across Fraud, Sanction, AML, CTF etc...
The Fraud & FEC Awareness & Prevention Lead is a Line 1 role, focussing on enhancing internal controls & raising FEC, fraud & scam awareness. In addition to being an excellent communicator & presenter to diverse audiences on FEC & Fraud topics, you will be comfortable presenting in face to face & online environments.
A range of background for will be considered for this role. You may have worked in a similar role, have a background in communication strategy, or an advisory or consulting role in financial crime.

Top Role Accountabilities Execute Client Awareness Activities through developing & maintaining a calendar of client awareness activities to ensure that clients & staff are educated about fraud risks, scams, & other financial economic crimes. This ranges from face-to-face presentations, online webinars, social media posts, website updates etc...Design client messaging to prevent scam activity & address other clients falling victim to financial economic crimesProvide training to employees on processes related to fraud, scams, & other financial economic crimesEquip employees with the knowledge & tools to identify & prevent fraudulent activitiesIdentify training needs on the back of risk assessments & via training needs analysis to develop targeted training to address risks & learning/capability needRegularly review the effectiveness of fraud & FEC risk controls & root cause analysisProvide advice to stakeholders on fraud risk & controls related to processesCollaborate with relevant teams to enhance prevention measures for various financial economic crimesAnalyse data related to fraud, scams, & other financial economic crimes. Identify trends, patterns, & emerging risks To be successful, you will have: Demonstrated experience presenting in front of internal stakeholders & external clients5-7 years + experience in a similar role within Financial Economic Crime risk management, or an advisory, consulting or communications roleExcellent verbal, written & interpersonal skillsAn ability to work autonomously & be self-sufficientAn advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPointAn ability to make sound judgements based on dataExperience in identifying & remediating control weaknesses, conducting fraud & FEC risk assessments to identify gaps & improvement opportunities highly regardedThe capability to assess fraud & FEC risks & controls, highlight deficiencies & recommend improvements highly regardedKnowledge of industry standard processes & approaches for managing fraud risk across deposit, card, & loan products highly regardedA willingness to travel within the ANZ region is essential What we're proud to offer you: Rabo@Anywhere is our hybrid way of working at Rabobank where we have a blend of time working between the office & home
