The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity has opened for a Franchise Development Manager to join Fitstop's Brisbane Head Office and lead our growth across the Asia-Pacific region. In this role, you will take charge of leasing activities, from acquiring new sites and identifying strategic territories to exploring reverse market opportunities. In addition, you'll provide leadership across the entire Development function, overseeing Franchise Sales and Project Management to drive network expansion in line with strategic growth objectives.
What your day-to-day will look like: Property Development and Management Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Asia-Pacific retail property landscape, providing franchisees with up-to-date advice on state-specific leasing requirements, building codes, and health and safety regulations. Conduct geodemographic analysis using Fitstop's Mapping system to assess site locations, ensuring alignment with Fitstop's growth strategy. Ensure leasing agreements are consistent with Fitstop's franchise model and disclosure document, standardizing terms across both new and existing locations. Manage lease renewals, negotiating terms that support franchisees' needs while advancing Fitstop's strategic goals. Resolve conflicts with landlords or property managers to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes for Fitstop and franchisees. Collaborate with the Franchise Sales Team to promote leasing and site opportunities to existing and prospective franchisees. Leadership and Development Lead the Development function, providing strategic oversight to ensure the successful delivery of new franchise locations, from pipeline management to compliant openings. Support the team in overseeing the entire build pipeline, ensuring timely project execution, adherence to Fitstop's standards, and full compliance with franchise requirements for each new location. Partner with the Franchise Sales team to support growth strategies, identifying key expansion opportunities and ensuring alignment between franchisee needs and Fitstop's growth objectives. We would love to hear from you if you have: Essential experience in a franchise development role, with a focus on franchise sales, leasing, and build processes. A minimum of 5 years' experience in leasing management, specifically within franchising. Proven leadership experience with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams. Proficiency with CRM software and lease management systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain key relationships. The ability to manage conflicts and escalations with professionalism and tact. A flexible, positive approach to the fast-paced, dynamic nature of a rapidly growing organisation.
