Location - Northern Territory We have been retained exclusively to source a Construction Manager (Civil) to take full responsibility across multiple, significant civil construction projects concurrently.
Reporting directly to the business owners and management, this key leadership role offers an opportunity to spearhead the successful delivery of multiple projects across the Northern Territory with a significant focus on government projects and general infrastructure projects.
The Organisation Having won numerous recent awards across both their Civil & Building divisions, this principal contractor has secured multiple government/defence projects up to $700M+, providing a period of ongoing project opportunities that will see them active for some time.
For over forty years, they have successfully delivered projects across both the Civil and Commercial building disciplines and are continuing to expand their Civil project delivery capabilities across a variety of projects, calling upon their self-performing prowess as a key part of their success.

Key Deliverables With full project responsibility across multiple projects concurrently, your day-to-day tasks will vary significantly; however, key deliverables will remain consistent and will include the following:Monitor, analyse and constructively review program, productivity, conformance, and safety on projects.Build and mentor project team capability and performance.Monitor, mentor and ensure project team integration and resource management requirements.Approve and progressively monitor project methodology in a proactive manner.Maintain and enhance the company's reputation at all times.Assist the Pre-Contracts team with methodology and programming.Capabilities & Experience This is a challenging and rewarding role where you'll rely on your previous senior leadership experience to deliver on commercial and financial requirements.
Your experience in the civil contracting industry, project management, financial management, forecasting, procurement, and contract management functions will drive success for you in this role.
Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate/possess the following:Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or its equivalent.10+ years of post-graduate experience within a Principal Contractor environment.Experience in managing hard dollar projects > $50M in project value.Intermediate to advanced computer literacy (e.g., Microsoft Suite).Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate performance objectives for staff.Demonstrated ability to drive the program to meet project objectives.Experience in leading and motivating teams safely during project completion.A well-developed commercial acumen derived from demonstrable critical project dealings.An awareness and commitment to cultural sensitivities and awareness across the overall workforce and stakeholder interactions.Australian citizen with the ability to secure government security clearance.The Rewards Apart from being recognised as a key player engaged by an industry-enviable employer, the successful candidate will be rewarded with a very competitive remuneration package.
