Mobile Maintenance Superintendent Fosterville Gold Mine invites suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the position of Mobile Maintenance Superintendent. The primary purpose of this position is to lead, motivate and manage all maintenance activities of the mobile fleet and light vehicle teams. This key leadership role is responsible for mentoring a team of trades and technical professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of mobile equipment availability and reliability to meet the mine plan and consistently promote excellence through the application of core values and visual leadership.
Reporting to the Mining Manager, your duties will include: Provide leadership which engages and develops the mobile maintenance team in establishing, maintaining and enforcing a safe work culture. Ensuring optimisation and adherence to maintenance plans, budgets and the availability and reliability of equipment on site. Create, maintain and report on maintenance budget requirements. Providing strategic direction on mobile equipment maintenance strategies and improvement initiatives and support Mine Manager in strategic planning for current and future operations. Facilitate capital and project works from feasibility to commissioning for the mining area. Develop service/parts/supplier relationships and actively manage all contractual matters that arise. Promote reporting of incidents, near misses and hazards. Ensure all incidents are thoroughly investigated and corrective actions are implemented. Ensure team members are adequately trained and competent and conduct themselves in accordance with legal obligations and FGM site policies and procedures. Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives with team members and provide feedback on making improvements in the workplace. The successful candidate should possess the following: Relevant trade / tertiary engineering qualifications in a mechanical discipline. Extensive mining industry experience maintaining heavy equipment >10 years and Supervisory experience >5 years. Strong background in heavy mobile maintenance and equipment lifecycle/strategies including thorough understanding of planning and scheduling for mobile and light vehicle fleets. Proven budget and finance management skills. Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations related to the role. Experience leading teams in workshop and underground mining environments. Demonstrated ability in team development and performance management. Proficiency in maintenance management software and MS Office Suite (Pronto, Redmap, INX). The roster for this residential position will be Monday – Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week.
