Three-year contract with possibility of extension, hybrid or remote, part time (0.6FTE) role. Shape a new hands-on role and build the value of the Forum. Work that makes a difference to the standards of training of health practitioners and health care. Contribution to national health workforce and education strategy and policy. Strategic engagement with education and health stakeholder organisations. The Health Professions Accreditation Collaborative Forum is a coalition of the organisations that set the standards for education and training of health professions in Australia and accredit health profession programs of study. Through the Forum, members work together to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of accreditation, responding to national policy developments related to regulation, accreditation, and workforce development for the regulated health professions. On behalf of its members, the Forum works closely with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and Forum members all provide accreditation services in the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme. Since 2007, the Forum has built success by the strong engagement of member organisations. It is now recruiting an Executive Officer to strengthen its capacity to achieve its vision of Better and safer health outcomes through high quality accreditation and assessment services for all regulated health professions within Australia.
This new role has a broad scope from managing business plans and financial performance, overseeing Forum projects, supporting meetings of the Forum members and the Forum office holders, to shaping Forum responses to national health and education policy developments and stakeholder engagement. The Executive Officer role is central to building the value of the Forum for members, and to articulating and implementing a clear strategy to achieve the organisation's objectives.
The person for this job is outcomes focused, and has strong organisation, communication, policy drafting and project management skills. They will be committed to collaboration, equity and cultural safety. Administrative skills include proficiency in MS Office, excel spreadsheets, online collaboration tools, and financial management skills. Experience in health policy development, higher education management, accreditation or regulation is highly desirable.
The Executive Officer must be available for occasional extended hours of work and domestic travel to meet business needs.
