Fortify Health Group is a health and disability organisation supporting adults and children within Southeast Queensland.
We are on a mission to design, build, and deliver health and disability services that resolve complexity and empower individuals to achieve improved health and well-being.
Our multidisciplinary team includes psychologists, social workers, counsellors, a psychiatrist, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.
We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to work within our Springwood Office to support participants accessing services via Medicare, NDIS, or private health.

Position Overview:
This position is central to our mission of resolving complexity and empowering individuals toward improved health and well-being.
Given the nature of our work with both children and adults, this position offers the flexibility to work across different age groups or specialise in your preferred age group.
Our multidisciplinary team includes experienced senior members who can provide you with support and guidance in your area of preference.

Responsibilities:
Collaborating with a team of professionals, including speech therapists and psychologists, to provide holistic care for children.
Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate children's developmental skills, strengths, and weaknesses.
Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans to help children achieve their goals.
Providing therapy sessions focused on fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care.
This is a hybrid position and requires the successful candidate to do home visits and visits to schools.
Assess, write plans, and oversee an Allied Health Assistant working with you.
Educating parents and caregivers on effective ways to support children's development at home and in the community.
Collaborating with fellow professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
Skills Required:
Knowledge of child development and occupational therapy theory and practice.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Organisational and time management skills.
Physical fitness and stamina.
Obtain a Blue card and NDIS worker screener check or willing to get one.
Experience Required:
Degree in occupational therapy from an accredited tertiary institution.
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Experience working with children with various developmental conditions and disabilities.
Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Expertise in specific developmental conditions (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).
Experience working with culturally diverse populations.
Experience working closely with families of children with developmental conditions and disabilities.
Proficiency in specific assessment and intervention tools and techniques.
Familiarity with research and evidence-based practice.
Use of own car for travel to clients and remunerated according to NDIS travel cost allowance.
Benefits and Perks:
This role will be offered as a contractor or a salary position pending on your personal preference.
Hybrid working model with the support of two office locations and a team of Allied Health Professionals.
Salary scale pending experience between $95,000 and $102,000 /year FTE plus superannuation.
You will be mentored by one of the most experienced paediatric occupational therapists with more than 20 years of experience.
