We are seeking a skilled and experienced Formworker to join our construction team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in formwork and concrete structures across various construction projects.
This role requires a team player who thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and is committed to delivering high-quality results.
As a Formworker, you will collaborate closely with a team of construction professionals to ensure the successful completion of formwork tasks.
The position involves travel to multiple worksites, including interstate, on short notice, without the provision of a company vehicle.
Key Responsibilities: Execute all aspects of formwork on construction sites in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
Work collaboratively with a team of formworkers, laborers, and other construction professionals.
Read and interpret architectural and engineering plans to ensure accurate formwork installation.
Perform tasks independently or as part of a team, completing work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Use tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Support and assist less experienced team members as needed.
Report project progress and any issues to site supervisors and project managers.
Essential Criteria (Must-Haves): Minimum of 5 years' experience in formwork within commercial and/or large-scale civil construction projects.
English must be your first language, with excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team in high-pressure environments.
Willingness and ability to commute to various locations, including interstate, often with short notice.
No company vehicle provided – must arrange personal transport.
Comprehensive knowledge of current formwork systems, safety regulations, and construction standards.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Proven history of working in compliance with stringent health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
Must possess a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
Desirable Qualifications (Preferred): High-level competency in complex, high-pressure projects with demanding timelines.
Formal qualifications in carpentry, construction, or relevant trades.
Certifications in workplace safety, including White Card and other industry-specific accreditations.
Experience working on interstate or remote projects.
Location Requirements: Must be based in Australia with the ability to commute to any worksite at short notice, including interstate.
The candidate must be flexible regarding location and willing to travel without company-provided transport.
