The role An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and hard-working person to join our Adbri Masonry team based in Cairns, Queensland.
As a team player and reliable forklift operator, you will provide support to production teams and yard/despatch functions.
You will oversee the inbound and outbound movements of goods/materials from our production plant, maintain a neat and orderly inventory as well as stepping in to support production processes as required.
The role is a full-time, day shift position with potential for flexibility and overtime, to support operational requirements, to the right candidate.
Responsibilities Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintainedFollow correct work procedures at all timesCheck/inspect, document and unload inbound goodsQuality Assurance, preparation and packaging of outbound goodsEnsure yard and inventory is maintained neat and orderlyEnsure stocks are suitably stored and rotatedCommunicate effectively between production and yard/despatch functionsGeneral labouring and machine operating duties to support various production areas as requiredFollowing established procedures for documenting and/or reporting work performed, hazards, incidentsBasic maintenance of forklifts, plant and equipment in the work areaWhat you will need to succeed Self-motivation and a willingness to learnAbility to communicate confidently with various staffLoad and unload trucks safely and accuratelyMove palletised masonry products within the factory and yardComplete basic documentation associated with the dispatch of ordersMake up orders using appropriate manual handling techniquesUndertake general housekeeping and cleaningA safe and supportive environment Adbri Masonry puts safety first and recognises that diversity in our workforce drives innovation and encourages creativity.
