We believe that people do amazing things and surround ourselves with people who are as committed as us to providing a safe and highly productive working environment for our employees.Haynes currently has an opportunity for an experienced Production Operator/Storeperson to join our valued client based in Townsville.Jobs On Offer:Storeperson (Dispatch):Key Responsibilities:Ensuring that the correct products and quantities are accurately received and recorded.Picking and assembling orders.Utilizing machinery and forklifts daily.Successful Candidate must hold:Computer knowledge and use of Pronto – advantageous.Current forklift licence with proven experience.Prior experience within a manual handling & warehouse role.Ability to work in a team environment and holds a sound understanding of safety in the workplace.Production Operator:Key Responsibilities:Performing regular maintenance on production equipment to prevent breakdowns.Keeping a close watch on the production process to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently.Running and monitoring machines used in various stages of steel production, such as furnaces, rolling mills, and casting machines.Inspecting raw materials and finished products for defects or inconsistencies.Moving semi-finished and finished steel products within the facility using cranes, forklifts, or other equipment.Successful Candidate must:Hold a current C Class Drivers Licence + Reliable Transport.Be physically fit - able to undertake manual handling.Prior experience with sheet metal folding.Current forklift licence with proven experience.Prior experience within warehouse roles.Ability to work in a team environment and holds a sound understanding of safety in the workplace.Computer knowledge – advantageous.Mechanically minded - advantageous.At Haynes, we keep things simple: We back the talent of our people and land the jobs that best suit their needs.
