Job DescriptionResponsibilities: Load and unload trucks, trailers, containers, and rail wagonsSort and check freight against customer delivery paperworkRestrain loads as per the National Load Restraint GuidePalletise and pack loadsHandle general and non-standard freightCounterbalance forklift operationHeavy lifting and dunnage dutiesSecure and restrain loads in a safe manner as per operational requirementsPerform vehicle pre-start checksReport all damaged freight and shortages via the exception reporting processPerform general housekeeping of trailers, wagons and SCT's premisesComply with the Warehouse Traffic Management PlanEnsure compliance with all of SCT's policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation.Desired Skills and ExperienceThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: Current LF High Risk Work licenseExperience operating a Forklift in a transit warehouseTransporting freight in a safe and efficient mannerKnowledge & experience with load restraint proceduresKnowledge of Chain of ResponsibilityOther important information We reserve the right to commence recruitment proceedings prior to the stated closing date.The successful candidate will have to undertake an Australian Federal Police check and Pre-Employment Medical (for certain roles), which will be arranged and paid for by SCT.Recruitment companies need not apply.SCT is an equal opportunity employer and we recognise the value and importance of diversity.
