Warehousing, Storage & Distribution (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Border Express currently has an exciting opportunity available for experienced and motivated Forklift Operator as an offsider for one of our customers, Jaycar, for our Sydney Branch.This position is responsible for the safe and effective movement of freight within the branch.Success in this position will be measured when Delivered In Full On Time (DIFOT) targets are met and a safe workplace is actively demonstrated. This is a front-line position, which requires a high level of communication, professionalism, and customer service to be applied consistently every day.Duties:Undertake safe and effective loading, unloading, movement, restraint, and storage of freight as required;Take additional care with freight to ensure there are no damages;Always check load restraint, packaging, and the condition of freight before it travels;Report all damages to freight or forklift to your supervisor immediately;Ensure all pallet paperwork and Dangerous Goods paperwork is checked and completed accurately;Ensure that there are no Dangerous Goods compatibility issues when loading and unloading;8am-6pm Shift potentially early starts.Skills and Experience:Experience in the transport industry;Minimum of 2 years experience operating a forklift;Ability to adhere to WHS and Safety Regulations;Excellent attitude, a good work ethic, and reliability;A high level of physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive lifting;Great local knowledge of Sydney and surrounding areas;Ability to work unsupervised.Get to know Border Express:At Border Express, we're committed 100% to providing the very best supply chain services for Australia.
