The Opportunity: We currently have available Forklift Mechanic position available at our Sydney depot that requires suitably skilled people.
Employee will need to travel between depots based at Warwick Farm & Kemps Creek. As a valued employee of Direct Freight Express you will have uniforms supplied & laundered, be paid an above award wage, given access to ongoing overtime and work in a friendly environment.
HOURS OF WORK Mon – Friday – 7:00am – 3:30pm
These positions will include duties such as but will not be limited to: Carrying out vehicle servicing, & inspectionsTroubleshoot forklift problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctionsField service reporting on completed maintenance jobsAbility to diagnose & action mechanical faultsUndertake mechanical repairsAbility to work on LPG, petrol and diesel systemsGood working knowledge of brake systems and tyre/wheel changesLiaising with the Maintenance/Workshop Manager on any issues that need attention regarding safety;Sourcing necessary parts required;Manage service/maintenance;Maintain service records to a high standard;Ability to complete breakdowns including offsite/roadside repairs;Carry out general duties including administration tasks as requiredMaintaining a safe, organised workshop and work areaPerform safety inspection on machines prior to being released back to the work floorIn order to be successful in this role you must possess the following skills, attributes and qualifications: Current Trade Certificate in Heavy Vehicles, Forklift Mechanic, Plant, Motor Mechanic (Light), Automotive Electrical (or equivalent) essential Must hold a current forklift licenseExperience & knowledge of internal combustion engines, hydraulics, pneumatic and electrical systemsExperience & knowledge of fault diagnostics and softwareMust be a Safety driven individual with thorough knowledge of all WHS policies and procedures, including hazard identification & risk assessment training.Ability to document, record and track servicing and maintenance of all vehiclesReliable and honestGreat work ethic Our Benefits: Full time positionOnsite and free parkingPaid overtime (Penalty rates)Uniforms suppliedGreat security and stability with our rapidly growing companyReceive pay weekly, and on timeFree access to our employee assistance program.Fit the above criteria or would like to start your career in transport?
