Dyers Distribution is a family owned company who have been providing quality transport services since 1932. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fork Lift Operator to join our team of dedicated professionals. Based at our Northern suburbs site, with an AM Shift start time position available.
This role would be ideally suited to an ambitious and energetic person with sound logistics, distribution and experience ideally in the FMCG field. Your role would involve an early AM start receiving milk and dairy products into our facility where they would deliver the products to across South Australian sites. You would be working in a chiller environment with a modern fleet, undertaking tasks in delivering ambient and refrigerated fast moving consumer goods to supermarkets.
Reporting to the Operations Coordinator you would be responsible for: Working with regular driversDIFOT and in line with temperature control guidelinesReverse LogisticsLiaising directly with Customers Transport Managers and SupervisorsAssist drivers in maintaining their schedulesUtilising IT systems – GPS, temperature monitoring, TMS, etc.Administrative duties including TMS house keepingReport maintenance and requests for repairsAssist the team with audits & stocktakesEnsuring all company policies and procedures are followedPreferred skills and qualifications: Previous experience in a large distribution, multi-drop transport or distribution operationExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet strict deadlinesUnderstanding of COR requirementsExcellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skillsStrong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all levels within the organisationForklift Licence Essential
Applicants holding a Heavy Vehicle Truck licence will be held in high regard.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical which includes drug and alcohol screening.
