Job Description: Bridal Consultant Key Responsibilities: Client Consultations: Greet clients and conduct personalized consultations to understand their preferences, style, and budget for bridal attire.
Offer recommendations based on the client's body shape, wedding theme, and personal tastes.
Provide advice on dresses, veils, accessories, and shoes to create a complete bridal look.
Dress Fittings: Assist in dress fittings, ensuring the bride's dress fits properly and is tailored to her specifications.
Arrange for alterations as needed and track progress of fittings.
Ensure that dresses are ready for pick-up or delivery on the specified date.
Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on current bridal fashion trends, dress designers, and new collections.
Understand fabric types, dress silhouettes, and various styles to help customers make informed decisions.
Offer detailed knowledge of the store's inventory and assist clients in choosing dresses that match their vision.
Sales and Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by creating a comfortable, enjoyable shopping experience for brides and their bridal party.
Meet or exceed sales targets by upselling accessories, bridesmaid dresses, and other wedding-related products.
Process transactions and maintain records of client orders.
Bridal Party Coordination: Assist brides with choosing attire for bridesmaids.
Provide sizing assistance and help ensure all bridal party members' attire aligns with the bride's vision.
Problem Resolution: Address any concerns or issues regarding dress orders, fittings, or alterations in a timely and professional manner.
Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds according to store policies.
Skills and Qualifications: Strong Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with brides and their families.
Sales Experience: Previous retail or sales experience, especially in the fashion or bridal industry, is a plus.
Customer-Centered: Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple clients.
Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail, especially when working with intricate fabrics, measurements, and styles.
Organization Skills: Ability to handle appointments, dress fittings, and client orders with efficiency.
Passion for Fashion: A genuine interest in bridal fashion and staying informed on the latest trends.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address customer concerns and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
Physical Stamina: Some bridal consultants may need to assist with dress fittings, which could require standing for extended periods and helping clients with heavy wedding gowns.
Education and Experience: Previous experience in retail, customer service, or bridal consulting is often preferred.
If no prior experience in bridal is present we can provide on-the-job training.
Work Environment: Bridal consultants typically work in bridal boutiques or wedding dress shops, with peak seasons around spring, summer and autumn, which are popular wedding months.
The role may require working weekends, evenings, or during busy wedding seasons.
