Position Overview:
Are you driven to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities? We are seeking dedicated Forensic Support Workers to provide care and support to individuals in Melbourne's western suburbs. This role focuses on delivering behavioral support and fostering community reintegration for participants with complex needs and behaviors of concern.
About the Role:
As a Forensic Support Worker, you will leverage your understanding of the NDIS and your experience in working with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors. Your work will involve building strong relationships with participants, implementing treatment strategies, and supporting participants in achieving greater independence and community involvement.
Key Responsibilities: Implement behavioral management strategies tailored to participants' needs.Coordinate and facilitate social outings and community activities.Support participants under court orders to reintegrate into the community.Build rapport with participants while maintaining appropriate boundaries.Assist with personal care, daily living activities, and domestic tasks.Support participants in achieving self-care and social engagement goals.Provide accurate incident reports, progress notes, and shift handovers.Administer medications and support meal preparation when required.Work effectively with participants demonstrating behaviors of concern.Maintain detailed records of client progress and service delivery.About You:
You are compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities reach their full potential. Your ability to build constructive relationships and maintain resilience in challenging situations will make you an asset to the team.
Key Skills and Qualifications: Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or a related qualification (Certificate IV preferred).Experience working with individuals demonstrating challenging or complex behaviors.Ability to provide effective behavioral management and support strategies.Strong verbal and written communication skills for report writing and documentation.Current First Aid and CPR certification.Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children's Check (or willingness to obtain).Current Australian Driver's License.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.What We Offer: Competitive pay rates aligned with the SCHADS Award 2010.Flexible working hours, including weekday, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts.Opportunities to work with a diverse range of individuals.A supportive work environment that values your contributions.How to Apply:
