An opportunity exists for a Consultant Psychiatrist with Mental Health/Alcohol and Other Drugs, Central Australia Region. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical services in Psychiatry as a Consultant to clients of the Forensic Mental Health Team (FMHT) and Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs, Central Australia Region (MHAOD CAR). You will also participate fully in activities of the Northern Territory Medical Program, particularly in the teaching of psychiatry to medical students and in the Post Graduate Psychiatry Training Program of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry (RANZCP).
This position will involve working 50:50 between prison facilities and the wider community. Flexible working arrangements will be taken into consideration.
