This is a great opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join our specialised team.
We are a dedicated group of IT professionals who would like you to join our close-knit team, working in a friendly and supportive environment with great team culture.
Our funky warehouse office is located in the inner northern suburbs of Melbourne, close to shopping and public transport with free off street parking available and we also offer flexible office/work from home arrangements to suitable applicants after an initial training period.
You'll be joining a highly skilled technical team providing day to day support of the systems that run our clients' businesses.
About the role
We require a Systems Administrator to install, configure, manage and administer our hosted infrastructure, internal and onsite customer implementations.
Negotiable salary plus paid Overtime, time in lieu & Allowances where applicable.
Reporting to our Head of Technical Services, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Installation, setup and configuration of virtual and physical systems, networks and environments. Diagnose operating system, hardware and software issues, rectify as required and see jobs through to a successful outcome. Support all aspects of hardware, operating systems, applications, networking and Cloud services. Database installation, Management and Administration (Oracle & SQL training provided). Management of Cyber Security practices within our cloud hosted and internal environments with focus to harden and secure our cloud environment & common services. Oversee and supervise subordinate team members when required. Participate in our rotating after-hours service that includes work paid at overtime rates plus allowances. Travel to client sites to provide IT support when/where required. About you:
You have an excellent work ethic and have worked as a System Administrator and systems implementer on small & medium sized systems and are looking to increase your knowledge and experience while adding exposure to larger systems.
You are a self-starter who takes ownership of issues and sees them through to resolution.
You have the skills and confidence to work independently and also as part of a team.
You have some experience with Oracle and/or SQL server administration and an interest in databases and data management or a willingness to learn these skills while working alongside our database gurus.
Ideally you have experience/exposure to ERP systems.
You have demonstrated leadership, decision making and problem solving skills.
You have extensive technical knowledge in a wide range of areas as well as great customer service skills.
You have an established network of industry contacts that you can utilise to help grow the business.
You have the necessary skills and experience to generate your own work leads where necessary.

To be considered, you will need to demonstrate the following experience and attributes:
Qualifications in a relevant area with minimum 3 years experience in I.T. Industry certifications are highly regarded. Oracle/SQL Server administration or an interest in learning these highly sought after skills. User account, group and policy management through local (Active Directory) and cloud-based services. Experience in Cyber Security practices. Excellent communication and customer service skills in all mediums; face to face, written, telephone/remote. Ability to work effectively, both independently and within a team environment. A passion for learning and development within the role. You must be willing to invest in developing your own knowledge and skills in IT. Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Enthusiastic, curious, and possess a deep desire to learn more. Driver's license and own car. Ideally you have working knowledge and experience with most of the following systems:
Windows Server versions VMWare Hyper-V Active Directory Microsoft Exchange Office 365 Crowdstrike Oracle/SQL Server Apparel21 PFSense Veeam and other backup solutions Strong networking skills including a sound knowledge of TCP/IP and routing principals. Security requirements:
