Overview About the role: Working across functions with various departments including workforce management, finance, human resources, compensation and benefits, as well as operations, the accountant will be responsible for payroll and wage analysis, as well as ensuring all activity is entered accurately in the General Ledger for reconciliation.
Responsibilities Perform month and year-end closing activities and payroll accruals, including balance sheet reconciliations. Calculate inter-department and intercompany payroll reclasses. Liaise with the human resources and compensation and benefit teams on policy changes, legal and regulatory requirements. Prepare annual wage budgets, monthly forecasts, and variance analysis. Participate in internal and external audits. Prepare wage reporting to business partners on KPIs and financial results. Assess performance efficiency and profit improvement opportunities. Act as a strategic partner to monitor and assess changes that impact payroll and business needs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business management (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Minimum three (3) years of accounting or financial analysis experience. Experience and understanding of payroll and accounting-related practices. Analytical thinker with experience in providing analysis of high volumes of data. Advanced MS Excel skills. PeopleSoft experience is a plus. Team player with a service-oriented attitude.
