The Position The Foodies Project Manager will lead the development and implementation of the two-year community project, Foodies Paddock to Plate Career Pathways. You will be passionate about education, community development, the Tasmanian food sector, and youth engagement.
Drawing on School Food Matters' expertise, this project offers secondary students a tangible pathway to explore careers in the food sector, from agriculture to hospitality. Centred around opportunities from the School Lunch Program and utilising the Well Fed Tasmania food van, the Foodies initiative aims to energise young Tasmanians aged 12 to 18 by connecting them into the vibrant, globally recognised Tasmanian food industry. Through engaging field visits and cooking workshops led by passionate food leaders, Foodies aims to nurture an appreciation for Tasmania's exceptional seasonal produce and food scene. Partnering with key local industry stakeholders, this project targets regional high schools to showcase employment opportunities. 
Remuneration The position is covered under the conditions of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS) 2010 and is aligned with Level 6, Grade 1, plus superannuation.
The position is full-time 37.5 hrs per week for 2 years as aligned with the project funding.

Key Skills and Attributes Ability to develop and implement the project plan and be accountable for achieving agreed outputs and timelines, including budget management and financial tracking of the project.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including funding bodies, growers and producers of food and community groups.High degree of organisation and time management, coupled with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong values-based leadership and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Hold a current Tasmanian drivers' licence, with the ability to drive the Well Fed Tasmania food van to various locations statewide.Desirable Qualifications/Experience Experience or qualifications in project coordination/management, preferably in educational or community-focused initiatives, with a proven record of achieving project outcomes.Background in hospitality, agriculture, or career development is highly desirable.
