Selection CriteriaSC1 Demonstrated capacity to perform duties consistent with the responsibilities of this position, established guidelines and frameworks, including coordinating and supporting others in respect to specific work functions relevant to the role.

RoleThis position comes with 10 weeks Annual Leave during school vacation periods.
An education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction.
This may include coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program.
ResponsibilitiesPerform tasks in preparation for practical classes as directed by the teacher.Preparing and setting up all Food Technology materials and equipment required for practical food classes.Setting up Food displays and demonstrations for transition and parent information evenings.Where applicable, assist Food Technology staff with demonstrations and practical sessions.Order, record and check all Food Technology department consumables, materials and equipment as required.Maintain food equipment and consumables according to DEECD and OHS regulations.Clean and maintain all Food Technology equipment, benches, floors etc to meet OHS and Food Hygiene standards.Ensure proper storage and labelling of food stuffs.Assist with all stocktaking and cleaning requirements at the end of each term/year.Monitor temperatures of refrigerators, freezers, ovens etc and record results.Unpack orders and restock shelves, fridges and other food products within Food Safety Standards First In First Out.Collection and laundering of linen from kitchens, café and administration area.Report damaged and/or broken equipment and record in Compass.Assist in food preparation and cooking for events.Observe and report any behaviour that is deemed inappropriate or unsafe.Other duties as directed by the Principal or Business Manager.Who May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
