Pixie Ice Cream is a proud Australian owned Family Company specialising in the manufacture and delivery of traditional style premium ice creams to the east coast of Australia. We have been delighting families with our delicious ice creams since 1959. We currently manufacture over 60 different products for ourselves and third-party contractors.The rolePixie Ice Cream is currently looking to fill the position of a Food Technologist to form an integral part of our Quality Team. Assist the QA Manager to ensure continuous improvement and quality best practices are maintained. The Food Technologist is responsible for ensuring that tasks attributed are conducted in an efficient and timely manner.The incumbent will have the rights to work in Australia.Hold a bachelor's degree in food science or equivalent degree.Previous dairy food manufacture experience would be advantageous.Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Internal Auditing, Product labelling and the development of nutritional information.Laboratory Experience.High Level Computer literacy, mathematical abilities, and English skills.Flexibility with work hours i.e., able to work shift work and short notice change.The ability to think outside the box and problem solve.Great time management skills and flexibility and adaptability to re-prioritise tasks as required.The employee will be exposed to a variety of food allergens and must be able to safely work in an environment where tree nuts, peanuts, dairy, and other allergens may be present.Posted Date: 18 Oct 2024Location: Toowoomba, QLD, AustraliaIndustry: Procurement, Manufacturing & Transport
