We have an exciting opportunity available for a full-time Food Technologist to come join our high-performing team based at our facility in Crestmead.
In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are: Sourcing information from suppliers for raw material specifications.
Conduct bench and process trials to develop or improve potential products where required.
Assist R&D team in developing commercially sustainable, cost and process efficient recipes.
Project manage industrialisation of concept recipes, co-ordinate activities of transition of Chef's recipes to a commercial product.
Implement and maintain new processes with training and partial management of key personnel.
Manage recipes, systems and processes for yield and cost management.
Ensure knowledge of regulatory or industry standards with respect to labelling and nutrition.
What do you need to be successful in securing this role?
Demonstrated success in a similar role Product development and commercialisation experience in a food manufacturing environment Tertiary qualifications in Food Technology or similar Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in producing and tabling reports Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Some experience with ERP systems – preferably QAD Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work within strict time constraints Dynamic, highly motivated and innovative.
