Newcastle Private Hospital is seeking a Food Services Assistant to join our hospitality team on a casual basis.
In this fast-paced and varied environment, you will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
You will assist in effectively serving our patients, doctors, and staff meals with particular attention to patient dietary needs and assist with function catering at a consistently high standard and within HACCP guidelines.

We are a 189-bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park.
As a Food Service Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly.Deliver, serve, and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays.Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils including dish and pot washing as required.Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture.Provide a high standard of customer service.Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures.Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients, and patients.Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development.Authority to Work in Australia.Working with Children check.2 years' experience in a similar role within a hospital or aged care environment.Completed Basic Food Handling Training (or working towards).Certificate III in Hospitality (or working towards).Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.Commitment to service excellence.Strong communication and customer skills.Work well independently and within a team.Available for a variety of shifts & on-call shifts.Why Healthscope?
