We are seeking a Food Services Assistant to provide a high standard of meal service to hospital patients and patrons of the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) Cafeteria.

The Role: Knowledge of food hygiene practices and their importance in the Food Services Industry.Demonstrated understanding of workplace safety.Demonstrated understanding of personal cleanliness and hygiene and its importance in the Food Services Industry.Ability to understand both written and verbal instructions and to effectively communicate with patients, staff, and the public while maintaining confidentiality.Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.The Team: Fast-paced work environment working in a great team.LGH food services, providing meals to over 300 patients daily including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, 365 days a year.Shift work with early morning starts working a combination of weekends and weekdays.Details of appointment: Permanent, part-time, shift worker position, 72 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $55,466 to $57,712 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
